Another thought on the “Field Guide”. It does not mention the technology of new houses (or old ones for that matter) but I suspect the modern trussed-rafter roof system is a great enabler for complex “Millennial Mansion” roof profiles. There is the usual question – does engineering follow or lead architecture?
